“The ticketing integration was the biggest part for me,” Jenna shares. “I’m doing three newsletters a week, each with different audiences. The ability to pull events from Tixr and not have to check every date and every ticket link because it's pulling from those event builds is huge for me.”
Prior to Hive, Jenna was working with another email service provider. While that platform also has integrations with ticketing partners, it came with a slew of problems. “It wasn’t as seamless,” Jenna recalls. “Events took forever to load, the templates weren’t as user-friendly, and I wasn’t able to make our templates as aesthetically pleasing.”
Given that DSP Shows is always growing, adding new venues and working on new projects, Jenna knew it was important to partner with a marketing platform that could support the company’s growth in a sustainable way.
Jenna estimates that Hive’s powerful features save her on average four hours per month.
“Hive definitely makes my day-to-day easier,” says Jenna. “It's a plus to have client support available, but for the most part, we don't even need it because it's so user-friendly. I'm not having to pull customer lists whenever I want to send a targeted email. I'm able to execute exactly what I want with the template design. Also, seeing our data from the campaigns we send and the revenue for our shows from Tixr right on our Hive dashboard is useful.”
Most recently, Jenna was able to generate 40% of ticket sales from a single newsletter send by utilizing Hive.
When asked if there was anything she would say to someone who is on the fence about using Hive, Jenna says, “I'd definitely recommend it for marketers thanks to the ticketing integration and just how easy it is to create templates for campaigns.”
